East of Manistee in the Cadillac / Manistee Ranger District, the Udell Hills Trail is a 16 mile groomed snowmobile route. This trail system connects with the Ward Hills trail system which is open to snowmobiling.

To reach the snowmobiling trailhead for Udell Hills from the intersection of US 31 and SR 55 in Manistee, go Southeast on SR 55 for 5.5 miles. Turn right on Stronach Rd. and go about 1 mile to the trailhead.

Overall, Udell Hills is the 27th most popular snowmobile trail of all 36 snowmobiling rides in Michigan.
