Southwest of St. Paul near Mankato, the Sakatah Singing Hills State Trail is a 39 mile snowmobile route from Mankato to Faribault.

To reach the Faribault trailhead (eastern trailhead) for snowmobiling on the Sakatah Singing Hills State Trail from the intersection of I-35 and SR 60 in Faribault, go east on SR 60 for 1 mile. Turn left (north) on SR 3/ SR 21 and travel .5 miles to the trails beginning and parking.

Overall, Sakatah Singing Hills State Trail is the 15th most popular snowmobile trail of all 38 snowmobiling rides in Minnesota. Several of the better snowmobile trails are nearby Sakatah Singing Hills State Trail including Minnesota Valley State Trail, Douglas State Trail, Glacial Lakes State Trail and Luce Line State Trail.
