In central Saskatchewan, the Forest Fringe area has almost 3,000 miles of groomed snowmobile trails spread between Nipawin to Meadow Lake over rolling hils through Boreal forest. Over 800km of snowmobile trails are Trans Canada Snowmobile Trails.

Overall, Forest Fringe is the 6th most popular snowmobile trail of all 17 snowmobiling rides in Saskatchewan. Several of the better snowmobile trails are nearby Forest Fringe including Candle Lake, Nipawin, Meadow Lake, Melfort, Narrow Hills Provincial Park and Lac La Ronge.
