North of Prince Albert in central Saskatchewan in the Forest Fringe area, the Candle Lake area has 500km of groomed snowmobile trails, in addition to about 150km of the Whelan Bays Trail System. The snowmobile trail system runs to Lower Fishing Lake in the northeast to Emma Lake in the southwest, along with a 50 mile one-way route to Prince Albert.

The 16-20 foot wide groomed route has several warm-up shelters along the way.

The trails are maintained by the Candle Lake Sno Drifters Snowmobile Club .

Overall, Candle Lake is the 1st most popular snowmobile trail of all 17 snowmobiling rides in Saskatchewan. Several of the better snowmobile trails are nearby Candle Lake including Narrow Hills Provincial Park, Big River and Archerwill.
