Near Evans Notch, there are 35 miles of groomed snowmobile trails with scenic vistas in the spectacular White Mountains.

For snowmobiling near Evans Notch and the rest of state, all riders, resident and non-resident alike, must register their snowmobiles in Maine to ride in Maine. Most of the registration money goes to the Snowmobile Trail Fund of the Department of Conservation. Registration information is available at (207) 287-2043. After registration, make sure to read the Maine Snowmobile Law Book. Note: it is illegal to ride ATVs on designated snowmobile trails.

Overall, White Mountain National Forest is the 3rd most popular snowmobile trail of all 25 snowmobiling rides in Maine.
