North of Polk City, the 3,500 acre Big Creek State Park has 13 miles of snowmobile trails. The snowmobile riding is in the Big Creek and Saylorville areas.

The state park is located 2 miles north of Polk City via SR415.

Overall, Big Creek State Park is the 2nd most popular snowmobile trail of all 25 snowmobiling rides in Iowa.
