Southeast of Pittsburgh near Ohiopyle on Sugarloaf Mountain, the 19,000 acre Ohiopyle State park has 13.2 miles of rocky, hilly snowmobile riding in the Sugarloaf snowmobile area.
To reach the snowmobiling at Ohiopyle State Park from the PA Turnpike, take Exit #9 for Donegal. Turn left on SR31 east. Continue roughly two miles, turn right onto SR711/SR381 south. Proceed 10 miles to Normalville (first stop sign), turn left onto SR381 south for 11 miles to Ohiopyle.
While snowmobiling Ohiopyle State Park, all snowmobiles must have a valid registration with the Pennsylvania Department Of Conservation And Natural Resources. The registration can be obtained from the PA DOC directly or through one of 1,000 dealers in the state.
