Near Laughlintown in the Laurel Highlands, the Forbes State Forest has miles of snowmobile trails along the Laurel Highlands. The northern section is north of US70/76 with a good trailhead at Laurel Summit. The southern section is south of US70/7 with a good snowmobiling trailhead on SR31 2 miles west of Kooser State Park.

While snowmobiling Laurel Highlands, all snowmobiles must have a valid registration with the Pennsylvania Department Of Conservation And Natural Resources.
