North of Pittsfield and Lanesborough, the 11,500 acre Mount Graylock State Reservation has miles of snowmobile trails about the namesake peak to explore on closed forest roads.

To reach the snowmobiling trailhead for Mount Graylock State Reservation from the Mass Pike US90, use Exit 2 in Lee. Follow Rte. 20 west to Rte. 7 north. Continue north from Pittsfield to Lanesborough. About 1.5 miles north of Lanesborough center watch for the Mt. Greylock Reservation and Visitor Center signs on the right. Turn right onto North Main St. and follow brown state reservation signs.

Overall, Mount Greylock State Reservation is the 1st most popular snowmobile trail of all 18 snowmobiling rides in Massachusetts. Several of the better snowmobile trails are nearby Mount Greylock State Reservation including Beartown State Forest, Pittsfield State Forest, Tolland State Forest, Adams , Hilltown , Buckland and Otis.
