Southeast of Boston and southwest of Plymouth, the 14,600 acre Myles Standish State Forest is laced with dirt roads open to snowmobiling. The road pass through gently rolling pine forest.

To reach the snowmobiling trailhead for the Myles Standish State Forest from Boston, follow SR3 southeast to Exit 5. Turn right heading west onto Long Pond Road for 4 miles to the signed state forest entrance on the right. Turn right in to the state forest and head towards the headquarters. At about 2 miles, there is a nice signed trailhead parking area.

Overall, Myles Standish State Forest is the 5th most popular snowmobile trail of all 18 snowmobiling rides in Massachusetts.
