Northwest of Bend and west of Sisters in the Deschutes National Forest, the McKenzie Pass area has miles of snowmobile trails.

The snowmobiling trailhead parking area is on SR242 west of Sisters at McKenzie Pass.

Overall, McKenzie Pass is the 22nd most popular snowmobile trail of all 30 snowmobiling rides in Oregon. Several of the better snowmobile trails are nearby McKenzie Pass including Mt. Bachelor, Hoodoo, Paulina Lake, Crescent Lake, Three Creek Sno Park and Santiam Pass / Corbett Sno-ParkJohn Day South.
