Southeast of Flagstaff in the Coconino National Forest, the Pinewood Snowmobile Trail System (aka Kendrick and Mormon Lake) has miles of snowmobile trails through ponderosa pine forest.

To reach the Munds Park snowmobilng trailhead for the Mormon Lake Snowmobile Trails System is 16.8 miles south of the Flagstaff I-17 and Lake Mary Road interchange. Take exit 322 (Munds Park) off of Interstate 17 and follow the road (FS Road 240, Pinewood Blvd.) east through town 2.2 miles to the trailhead on the left.
