Southwest of Springerville in the Apache-Sitgreaves National Forest, the Big Lake To Sunrise Snowmobile Route is a scenic trek through pine and fir forests.

To reach the snowmobiling trailhead from the intersection of US 60 and US 180 in Springerville, go south on US 180 for 2 miles. Turn west on SR 260 and travel for 21 miles. Take a left (south) onto SR 273 and go 5.5 miles to parking. The trailhead is right at the national forest boundary.

Overall, Big Lake To Sunrise is the 3rd most popular snowmobile trail of all 3 snowmobiling rides in Arizona.
