North of Ennis near the Twin Lakes, the North Meadow Creek route is a 12 mile groomed snowmobile system with several side loops. The first four miles are easy, and then the trail narrows and winds through timber.

The snowmobiling trailhead for North Meadow Creek is located 8 miles north of Ennis on SR287 to McAllister and 10 miles west on N. Meadow Creek Rd to Forest boundary.

Overall, Twin Lakes is the 19th most popular snowmobile trail of all 33 snowmobiling rides in Montana. Several of the better snowmobile trails are nearby Twin Lakes including Red Lion - Georgetown Lake, Deer Lodge, Bloody Dick Trail, Schultz - Johnson Trail, Stewart Meadows Complex and Viginia City / Clover Meadows.
