Northwest of Butte and Anaconda in the Beaverhead-Deerlodge National Forest, the Red Lion - Georgetown Lake area has 32 miles of groomed snowmobiling.
To reach the snowmobiling trailhead for Red Lion - Georgetown Lake from US 90, use Exit 208. Head west on US 1 passing through Anaconda for 28 miles to the Georgetown Lake trailhead.
The trail system is split by US 1. The Red Lion trails are northeast of US1 and the Georgetown Lake trails are southwest of US1.
Red Lion Trail (1) - A groomed 17 mile route from Cable Campground to Granite.
Warm Springs Trail (2) - A 7 mile route from Warm Springs Crossing on FS170 to Fred Burr Pass.
Hidden Lake (3) - A 5 mile connector route from #1 to #2. This groomed route is narrow.
Blodgett (5) - An 11 mile route from Silver Lake to Georgetown Lake. This groomed route is perfect for family riding.
East Fork (11) - A 16 mile route from Georgetown Lake to Carpp Ridge starting at CR672. This groomed route is perfect for family riding.
Overall, Red Lion - Georgetown Lake is the 4th most popular snowmobile trail of all 33 snowmobiling rides in Montana. Several of the better snowmobile trails are nearby Red Lion - Georgetown Lake including Deer Lodge, Bloody Dick Trail, Schultz - Johnson Trail, Stewart Meadows Complex, Madison and Wise River / Elkhorn Hot Springs.
