East of Logan in Bridgerland, the Hardware Range / Monte Cristo snowmobile complex is extremely popular with regional sledheads for awesome boondocking. This snowmobile complex has 180 miles of well-groomed routes. The northern area starts up Logan Canyon.
There are several snowmobiling trailheads that provide access to the Monte Cristo / Hardware Ranch Complex. The trailheads tend to be busy, but the routes quickly lead to desolation.
Northeast of Logan, the Tony Grove Trailhead provides access to 7 miles one-way of typical mountain trail riding through a twisting canyon. Expect to encounter moose on the trail. There is a nice play area at Tony Gove Lake. The trailhead is off US89.
Continuing northeast past Tony Grove, the Franklin Basin and Sink Hollow trailheads provides access to miles of groomed trails up Franklin Basin and Beaver Creek.
Overall, Monte Cristo / Hardware Ranch Complex - North is the 10th most popular snowmobile trail of all 14 snowmobiling rides in Utah.
