Southeast of Syracuse, Chenango County has an extensive snowmobile trail network maintained by the Chenango SnoRiders.

To reach the East Pharsalia snowmobiling parking area for the Chenango County Snowmobile Trails from the intersection of SR 12 and SR 23 in Norwich, go northwest on SR 23 for 13.5 miles. Turn left (south) on North Rd. and travel about 1 mile. Parking is on the right, just off of the road.

When snowmobiling Chenango County, all snowmobiles must have a New York State snowmobile registration unless you are riding on your own private property.

Overall, Chenango County is the 17th most popular snowmobile trail of all 49 snowmobiling rides in New York. Several of the better snowmobile trails are nearby Chenango County including Oneida County, Onondaga County, Brookfield State Forest, Courtland County, Madison County and Broome County.
