West of Glenburn Lake, there is a nice snowmobile trail network maintained by the Glenburn Lakeside Riders club.

For snowmobiling near Glenburn Lake and the rest of state, all riders, resident and non-resident alike, must register their snowmobiles in Maine to ride in Maine. Most of the registration money goes to the Snowmobile Trail Fund of the Department of Conservation. Registration information is available at (207) 287-2043. After registration, make sure to read the Maine Snowmobile Law Book. Note: it is illegal to ride ATVs on designated snowmobile trails.

Overall, Glenburn Lake is the 19th most popular snowmobile trail of all 25 snowmobiling rides in Maine. Several of the better snowmobile trails are nearby Glenburn Lake including Bangor, Hermon, Newport To Dover Rail Trail, South Lagrange To Medford Trail and Hampden.
