Near Stephenson in Marinette County, the Iron Snowshoe Snowmobile Trails club maintains an extensive snowmobiling trail network. There are over 130 miles of groomed trails in the Crivitz, Twin Bridges, High Falls Flowage, Caldron Falls Flowage, Silver Cliff, Thunder Mountain, and Crooked Lake areas of northeastern Wisconsin. The groomed snowmobile trails stretch all of the way from Crivitz into the beautiful Nicolet National Forest.

While snowmobiling Iron Snowshoe, the state of Wisconsin requires that all snowmobiles display a Wisconsin snowmobile registration decal. For non-residents, if the snowmobile is registered in another state, then they can purchase a non-resident snowmobilie trail pass.

Overall, Iron Trail System is the 18th most popular snowmobile trail of all 29 snowmobiling rides in Wisconsin.
