Southwest of Winthrop and Twisp, the Twisp River Sno-park provides access to the Twisp River Loop and Buttermilk Butte groomed snowmobile trails.

To reach the snowmobiling trailhead at Twisp River Snopark from Twisp, head west on Twisp River Country Road for 10 miles. Then continue 2 miles on Butter Milk Creek Road to the snopark.

Overall, Twisp River Snopark is the 18th most popular snowmobile trail of all 28 snowmobiling rides in Washington. Several of the better snowmobile trails are nearby Twisp River Snopark including Okanogon County, Goat Creek Snopark, Crawfish Snopark, Eightmile Snopark, Kerr Snopark and North Summit Snopark.
