North of Boise and south of Cascade in the Boise National Forest, the West Mountain has over 100 miles of groomed snowmobile trails at elevations ranging from 5,000 to 8,000 feet. Plus, there are hundreds of acres of powder for boondocking.

Overall, West Mountain / Cascade is the 12th most popular snowmobile trail of all 19 snowmobiling rides in Idaho. Several of the better snowmobile trails are nearby West Mountain / Cascade including Fairfield, Idaho City and Lowman.
