South of Bend and northeast of Roseburg in the Deschutes National Forest, the Crescent Lake area has an extensive snowmobile trail system. This system connects to the south with the Diamond Lake trails and the Crater Lake - Annie Creek trails (see separate listings).

The snowmobile trailhead for Crescent Lake is located northwest of Chemult off SR58.

Overall, Crescent Lake is the 8th most popular snowmobile trail of all 30 snowmobiling rides in Oregon. Several of the better snowmobile trails are nearby Crescent Lake including Mt. Bachelor, Hoodoo, Paulina Lake, Three Creek Sno Park, Santiam Pass / Corbett Sno-Park and McKenzie Pass.
