In southcentral California, the Giant Sequoia National Monument has several unplowed roads open to snowmobiling in the winter, including the Great Western Divide Highway. There are several miles of groomed trails, too.

There are two main snowmobiling trailheads in Giant Sequoia National Monument: Quail Flat and Sherman Pass.

To reach the snowmobiling in Giant Sequoia National Monument from Park Wye at the interstecion of SR198 and SR180, head east for 3.6 miles to the trailhead parking area.

Overall, Quail Flat is the 30th most popular snowmobile trail of all 31 snowmobiling rides in California. Several of the better snowmobile trails are nearby Quail Flat including Sherman Pass / Kern Plateau Area and Sherman Pass.
