Northwest of Edmonton, the Fort Assiniboine area has 60km of groomed snowmobile trails. The trails are maintained by the Pembina Drift Busters Club.

Overall, Fort Assiniboine is the 44th most popular snowmobile trail of all 47 snowmobiling rides in Alberta. Several of the better snowmobile trails are nearby Fort Assiniboine including Edson, Fort McMurray, Fort Saskatchewan, Swan, Grande Prairie and Athabasca.
