North of Edmonton and north of Westlock, there are 150km of groomed snowmobile trails maintained by the Pembina Drift Busters club.

To reach the snowmobile staging area, head north on Highway 44 to the intersection with Highway 661. Continue north on Road 801. The staging area is before Highway 663.

Overall, Westlock is the 36th most popular snowmobile trail of all 47 snowmobiling rides in Alberta. Several of the better snowmobile trails are nearby Westlock including Edson, Fort McMurray, Fort Saskatchewan, Swan, Grande Prairie and AthabascaBonnyville.
