Best Buffalo Pass Snowmobiling

The 22nd most popular snowmobile trail in Colorado.

Southwest of Walden, there is a snowmobile trail system running up to Buffalo Pass at the Continental Divide that is open to snowmobiling. The trail system consists of four trails and interconnects with the Rabbit Ears Trail System.

To reach the snowmobiling trailhead for Buffalo Pass from Walden, head southwest on SR14 for 13 miles. Turn right heading west on CR24 for about 10.5 miles to the parking at the old Grizzly Creek Guard Station.

Note: the trails are maintained with the assistance of the North Park Snow Snakes Club.

Overall, Buffalo Pass is the 22nd most popular snowmobile trail of all 24 snowmobiling rides in Colorado. Several of the better snowmobile trails are nearby Buffalo Pass including Colorado State Forest, Gould Trail System and County Route CR8A.
