Northwest of South Bend near New Carlisle, the 70 mile Buffalo Run Snowmobile Trail was developed by the South Bend Snowmobile Club. This is generally a north-south snowmobile route from US80 south to past Westfield to Crumstown.
Southeast of Elkhart and east of Goshen, the 55 mile Miami Snowmobile Trail was developed by the Elkhart County Snowmobile Club. This route runs roughly from Bristol in the north to Millersburg in the south, with several side trails.
Northwest of Angola in Steuben County, the 22 mile Potawatomi Snowmobile Trail was developed by the Potawatomi Snowmobile Club.
